Recruitment Process

In case there is any open position in our company candidates complying with required criteria are determined either from the available candidate pool or if necessary by advertising through Kariyer.net. Based on the position the candidates will be subjected to General Ability Test, Personality Inventory and Foreign Language Exams. The candidates having scored the required points as a result of the exams will enter Human Resources interview to evaluate the eligibility for the organization and corporate culture and then the department interview for evaluating the adequacy in technical terms. As a result of this process the most eligible candidate for the job and company is determined.

Common features sought for in new recruits

• For lower levels at least being high school graduate or an equivalent school
• For university graduates fluency in English and/or German
• For male candidates having completed military service (in terms of attaining long term success)
• Besides the qualifications necessitated by the position having the qualities such as “productivity and quality orientation, customer orientation, effective communication and teamwork, creativity and improvement orientation, honesty, reliability and loyalty to the company”
• Trial period varies based on the position.

Training Programs

Every new recruit in AK-KiM is subjected to an orientation training to enable the adaptation to the job, co-workers and working environment. Furthermore thanks to the Performance Evaluation System applied every year the behavioral and technical qualifications and levels of attaining annual targets for all employees will be questioned and their training needs are determined. In order to meet those needs and provide for continuous improvement, in-house and outside training programs will be organized.

Remuneration Policy

The employees will be paid a remuneration equaling to 16 wages in a year which consists of wage + a bonus payment paid quarterly. Furthermore the HAYGroup Remuneration Management System started to be implemented in 2007. It is aimed by Remuneration Management System to determine an equitable and market compatible remuneration which would make our employees work more efficiently by motivating them and prevent our best employees from being hired by other companies. By taking the annual inflation rate and annual performance of the employee a pay increase is made every year in January in line with Remuneration Management System. In addition to that the employees are given social benefits such as fuel and annual leave allowance, allowance for religious holidays. At the Head Office the employees can have shuttle service to work and lunch ticket, at Yalova and Cerkezkoy shuttle service to work and in-house lunch.

Promotion Opportunities

All resources are provided for the self-improvement of the employees to make them equipped with more qualifications. During career planning process the vacant positions will be first filled by in-house candidates considering the performance and personal improvement of the individuals.

Social Facilities/Benefits

• Health Insurance/ Non-SGK (Social Security Institution) Health Benefits: Based on title and seniority year health insurance cover is provided. Such health insurance also covers the spouse and children of the employee.
• Cultural Activities: They are organized by Ak-kim Social Activities Club (ASEK) comprising our employees. Such organizations include tours, theater, movie, backgammon and table tennis tournaments, concerts, dinners, picnics and new year’s dinner attended by our employees with their spouses and children.
• Sports Activities: We have football and volleyball fields at our factory being actively used by our employees. Every year during April-June period volleyball and football tournaments are organized by ASEK.
