Persulphates |
| Construction of the facility on the 16,000 m² property that belongs to the Akkök Group in the Organized Industrial Region Expansion ground was completed in 1979 and production in the facility started in early 1980. In April 1980 the plant started production of sodium metabisulphite with a capacity of 1,100 tons/annum. In February 1981 the Persulphates Facility started production step by step with a planned capacity of 5,458 tons/annum as a second operation next to metabisulphite production. |

Persulphate production technology is entirely applied by Ak-Kim. In the meantime, sodium metabisulphite plant moved to Yalova in July 1981 in line with changing and developing circumstances.
At the same time, Textile auxiliary products, Textile softener and wetting agents facility with a capacity of 2,000 tons/annum was established and such products are presented as paillette and liquid forms to meet the needs of textiles plants. Also, the Persulphates Facility has been continuously improved and produced three kinds of Persulphates as Ammonium, Potassium, and Sodium.
Once more, as a result of changing and developing circumstances the softener and wetting agent production facility was moved to Textile Auxiliaries (Teksyar) plant in Yalova in January 1988 after 5 years of operation in Çerkezköy.
After that point, in Çerkezköy only Persulphates Facility has continued with production and has been continuously developed. Parallel with development and automation, membrane technology was adopted in 1998 improving quality and adding to competitive power.
The facility is established on a total area of 59,000 m² with 5,000 m² of closed and 54.000 m² of open grounds. Its total production capacity is 7,765 tons/annum and according to customer demands, it can produce potassium persulphate and sodium persulphate at the same time and amount as ammonium persulphate production capacity. There are 20 employees in Çerkezköy facility. The persulphates are used in many fields such as production of acrylic fibers, latex, and bleaching, abrasive and oxidizing agents to use in the cosmetics sector.
50% of the persulphates are exported while the remaining 50% is consumed in domestic market. Ak-Kim Çerkezköy Persulphates Facility has competitive superiority with its production capacity and quality and exports its preferred products to all European countries starting with Germany.
Among the many products produced in Yalova that can be obtained from Ak-Kim Çerkezköy Facility, TextilesAuxiliary agents are in the lead. Also, liquid chemicals such as Hydrogen Peroxide, Acetic Acid are conveyed from storage tanks to customer tanks as bulk.
