Corporate Responsibility
Ak-Kim is conscious of its “Corporate Social Responsibility” and treats all its partners “ethically” and “responsibly”. The Company upholds these principles while taking decisions and applies such decisions effectively and continuously. Its projects and activities directed towards its employees and other partners demonstrate the company’s consciousness of its corporate social responsibility.
 
 
As a member of the Akkök Group of Companies, Ak-Kim takes the necessary precautions that would protect the nature, environment and the occupational safety in line with its sustainable growth target. The company is aware of its responsibility towards all its partners that might be affected by all its activities. This awareness is demonstrated not only as fulfillment of legal responsibilities but also as investment in humans, the future, the nature and relations with partners.

Some of the “Corporate Social Responsibility” projects that Ak-Kim runs by itself or together with Akkök Group of Companies are listed below.
Open Door Policy

With the Open Door Policy it activated in 1999, Ak-Kim ensured that its employees can easily reach their managers about every issue. In the framework of this policy “Chat with the General Manager” meetings where working conditions of the employees are discussed in a great transparency are organized twice a year.

Another corporate social responsibility project is Ak-Kim’s opening of its facilities to visits of official institutions and organizations together with students at all levels of education from primary school to college that would like to get information. During educational visits of student groups Ak-Kim managers and employees try to assist students to determine their goals and job preferences and gain awareness.


Ak-Kim Scholarship Program

Ak-Kim established a program known as Ak-Kim Scholarship in the framework of its corporate citizenship understanding. With contributions by its employees, the Company gives scholarships to university students with limited economic means. A total of 97 students benefited from this scholarship fund since its inception in 1996.


Employee Contribution to Management

Just like all other Akkök Group Companies, Ak-Kim also encourages participation of employees to management through a Suggestion System. This application supports participation and creativity and targets contributing to Ak-Kim’s corporate development.


Akkök Talent Seeds Project

Akkök Talent Seeds Project is run together by the Akkök Group of Companies and aims presenting college students with an environment to display their creativity and use their talents, increasing environmental sensitivity of such young people and creating cooperation opportunities with them in order to meet current and future human resources needs of the group companies.

Quit smoking campaign

Forestation projects in the immediate surrounding in order to protect and improve natural assets, human health and green areas,
