Quality Policy
Beginning from the installation of the production facility to delivery of the produced chemicals to its customers Akkim gives great importance to the protection of the environment. It has been one of the leading companies that executed a Responsible Care Undertaking and implemented the said program (February 11, 1993). As a definition Responsible Care is a program which handles the protection of human life, environment and natural sources as a priority in all stages of the activity and always maintain this in the foreground. Responsible Care is being implemented all over the world especially in the developed countries and activities in our country are being carried out under the coordination of Turkish Chemistry Industrialists Association (TKSD). Responsible Care that intended for chemistry industry is a voluntary implementation. Implementation of the principles and requirements of Responsible Care program is undertaken and Turkish Chemistry Industrialists Association audits the implementation, sufficiency and continuity of the applications. As a requirement of Responsible Care program Akkim realizes its production by maintaining the environment protection foreground in every stage of its activities including feasibility, planning and projecting prior to the installation of a facility, later assembly, production activities, delivery, maintenance and all of its other activities.
Besides Responsible Care Program implementations, Akkim took another step and established an Environment Management System and received ISO 14001 certificate in September 2004. Environment Management System stands for decreasing the effects of the activities on environment or their risks systematically and rationally. Akkim gives importance to environment and demonstrates this by means of its Responsible Care Program implementations since 1994 and then additionally its ISO 14001 Environment Management System applications in the same line.
In addition, within a progress that began in 1992, Ak-Kim had established Ak_Kim Quality Assurance System, which shall review the quality principles and system and ensure better understanding and meeting of the customer demands. Since 1995 Akkim has a ISO 9001 Quality Certificate. AKKİM that is aiming to gain a competitive advantage and becoming a leader company in its sector by creating a distinction in continuously changing world shall continue to develop and strengthen its investments.
