Responsible Care

Beginning from the installation of the production facility to delivery of the produced chemicals to its customers Ak-kim gives great importance to the protection of the environment. It has been one of the leading companies that executed a Responsible Care Undertaking and implemented the said program (February 11, 1993). As a definition Responsible Care is a program which handles the protection of human life, environment and natural sources as a priority in all stages of the activity and always maintain this in the foreground. Responsible Care is being implemented all over the world especially in the developed countries and activities in our country are being carried out under the coordination of Turkish Chemistry Industrialists Association (TKSD). Responsible Care that intended for chemistry industry is a voluntary implementation. Implementation of the principles and requirements of Responsible Care program is undertaken and Turkish Chemistry Industrialists Association audits the implementation, sufficiency and continuity of the applications. As a requirement of Responsible Care program Ak-kim realizes its production by maintaining the environment protection foreground in every stage of its activities including feasibility, planning and projecting prior to the installation of a facility, later assembly, production activities, delivery, maintenance and all of its other activities.

Our Responsible Care Policy

In the context of environment protection, employee health and work security, as a requirement of the liability of care policy, Ak-Kim, undertakes;

• To comply with legislations and legal requirements.

• To minimize the damage given by activities to human health and its impacts on environment via training of employees and undertakers.

• To choose technologies that give priority to enviorenment, human health and work security.

• To minimize possible risks by giving the necessary training and technical support services necessary to convey products to customers in a secure way.

At every stage of the activities, we take necessary measures against possible risks that may affect the community and communicate them, so as to earn the community’s trust.
